A northern lass at heart, born in Liverpool, I moved to London and trained at the London Studio Centre for the Performing Arts - which stood me in good stead …my first job being a showgirl in Paris …hmmm! Fun, but not something I could see myself doing into my 30s! I was always intrigued by entertainment, arts and media and so made the decision to work in TV.
I started at Chrysalis Entertainment as receptionist, but with my keen interest in all aspects of TV and cheeky delusions of grandeur, I quickly became PA to the Executive Director. After a stint as PA at Open Mike Productions, I moved into a research and associate production roles for Open Mike. Fantastic opportunities came along working with the production teams for live shows for Lee Evans and Jack Dee Live and at the Comedy Store. It was at Open Mike where I met my husband, stand up comedian and writer Rich Hall, in 2004 and since then have travelled to and from the States, mostly to associate produce Rich’s documentaries, which you can see in our portfolio section.
I love the creative process and getting ideas for each new project, be it a corporate story, a TV show or a commercial venture. The development of new ideas/fresh ways to work never ceases to interest me - seeing projects through from research to filming, editing to delivery is constantly inspiring. Creating and running Lewin Hall has been a natural progression, not only because I have the ideal business partner in Rachel, but that we are so enthusiastic and excited about everything we do – it’s dead boss! (you can take the girl out of Liverpool…)
