HSBC
HSBC have always had great success on their university visits and maintain a huge pride in their graduate brand. For their attraction materials they commissioned this animation, which was used in their campus presentations and featured on their graduate career website. Rachel worked closely with the creative team to ensure the graduate brand stayed strong throughout and this short animation is a great example of how simple motion graphics can be very effective – both in terms of creativity and costs.
McDonald’s
A ‘McJob’ has long been deemed a bad career choice. Rather than ignore this, McDonald’s tackled it through an online petition to remove the word McJob from the dictionary. This video spear-headed the petition campaign and Rachel managed production from the development of initial scamps, through to a complex post-production process, and overseeing the launch. As well as appearing as part of a huge internet advertising campaign, the video also held a prime spot on Piccadilly’s famous billboard for over three months.
Ernst & Young
EYU is a key element in Ernst & Young’s learning and development strategy and is designed to advance, nurture and encourage the careers of their employees. This scribe animation explains the reason behind EYU and demonstrates many opportunities to explore and progress within the firm. Proving that when people’s aspirations align with EY’s global strategic outlook, the outcome is both powerful and successful for the firm, teams and individuals.
Greggs
We believe there is no better way to welcome new people to your company and its culture than through video communication. For Greggs, the whole company was brought to life by filming behind the scenes in key business areas and meeting a lot of interesting characters up and down the country – all giving an insight into what new joiners can expect. Using talking heads and narrative from the Chief Executive we stitched together this multi-chaptered DVD designed as a key part of their induction programme.
Her Majesty’s Prison Service
HMPS wanted show potential employees what life “on the inside” is really like – which is often very different to what is perceived. We filmed prison officers from many backgrounds who shared their experiences and offered good advice to candidates. Rachel worked closely with the Prison Service staff to ensure all safety and security procedures were adhered to, respect was shown to prisoners and that the film crew were kept safe. The resulting DVD was part of the induction pack and also available online.
Scotiabank
Lewin Hall works closely with Scotiabank on their video communications. Scotiabank are strong believers in the power of film and video to convey their intended message which gives us a great working relationship. Examples of our video projects for Scotiabank range from induction materials to employee surveys and from training videos through to company vodcasts. Our latest film projects include a training video for all offices across Europe and Asia plus a relocation video for the London office.
Balfour Beatty
While heading up the video department at Barkers, Rachel produced talking head profiles for the Balfour Beatty graduate recruitment website. All of the graduates featured were based in remote locations all over the UK so to keep within budget everyone was brought to London to film in a studio. They were filmed and edited in a style to match the rest of the attraction materials and Rachel was responsible for overseeing this process. She also managed the studio set-up, all logistics, client liaison and editing of the content.
British Sugar
Shot on location in East Anglia, we had great access to a state-of-the-art sugar processing plant and its many by-product facilities. The challenge came in having to capture a great deal of footage for numerous online video profiles and film in many areas across a vast site. Despite being a physically exhausting the weather was on our side, and in this example we see how the huge climb to the top of the vat of pure sugar syrup was worth it in the end!
Buro Happold
As Video Producer at Barkers, Rachel was asked to produce these studio-based, online video profiles. To add interest and in line with the other attraction materials, we projected images of various assignments illustrating Buro Happold’s global work onto the studio wall. We created a montage of the interviews in a shoot-the-shoot style film to sell the company as a forward-thinking, dynamic engineering company. A great example proving that talking head interviews on your website don’t have to be dull!
Dresdner Kleinwort
Rachel produced video productions for DRKW over three years - from global advertising to recruitment campaigns. This video is from the last global project she undertook for them, which saw her travelling across three continents in just over a week. Filming in London, Tokyo, New York and Frankfurt, she coordinated the entire project from initial briefings, logistics and booking international crews working in PAL resolution - through to managing editorial content, quality control and delivering output.
First Great Western
Rachel worked closely with First Great Western to show a better understanding of careers available at the company by producing this online video solution, including talking head interviews. The idea of the film was to show a passenger journey from London to Plymouth, meeting key personnel on the way. Pre-production was a huge logistical operation, with detailed recces, risk assessments, casting of staff and producing a complex schedule bringing everything together.
Siemens
Siemens’ Commercial Academy was set up in 2005 to develop fresh talent for the future. Rachel produced, filmed and created a DVD which demonstrated through employee testimonials, how the Academy provides the same professional qualifications that higher education offers, but with a full-time salary. It was then circulated to schools and Careers Services showing how the Academy has all the benefits of university - without the debt! The scheme is very popular and this DVD proved a great way to demonstrate its success.
World Duty Free
This short video featuring Jack Black was produced to promote the run-up to World Duty Free’s Christmas promotion. We had a very tight client deadline to work to, but managed to turn this project around in under five hours from start to finish.
